Welcome
to the Palko site. My Mother's Mother's maiden name was Palko. I started
researching this side of the family in 1992. The Palko family is the second
largest family I have gathered information on. Palko has about 60 pages in the
tree and I completed this book several times now. About 2 years ago, I lost my
hard drive and along with several updates to this tree. I am posted this tree on
the internet now and if you see something that requires updating and you know
you already gave me the update, please resubmit to me again. Thank you,
John |

My Books and Web Page Database:
The Palko family tree is very large. There
are many many surnames and I hope to make this site an easier site to help you
find who you are looking for. If you want to know a name that may be in any of
the books, simply type in a portion of the name in the search box on the top
left section of this page. Every surname is entered into this data base
regardless of what tree it belongs in. Looking for John, type john and it will
display every john in the database. John Seymour, Johnson, Johnny, Johnathan,
first name or middle name. No matter, it will display everyone and what tree and
page number they are in. Want to search on a date? After searching on any name,
you will come to a results page from the search you just selected. This results
page will also allow you to search on a date. Not sure of a date? Just type in
the four number year like 1962. Keep in mind we only have about
395 names in the
database so far. In time that number will grow so come back often if you can't
find the person your looking for. .... |

Family Tree Reunions:
August 1998 we had our 1st ever Babinchak-Palko reunion. It was
held in Harriman Tenn. My Aunt Marie was Chair Person and did a great job, as
usual. The
ten year Babinchak and Palko reunion will be held in the summer of 2008. Keep
looking here for more details.

My research:
My Great Aunt Corrine Palko was my starting point for the Palko family tree. The information she gather over the years helped me tremendously while putting this book together. Thanks Aunt Corrine for the tons of work you have done and continued updates I get from time to time. I wish I had 20 more like her from each family, but that would make it too easy I guess. Uncle Al collected so many photos over the years that I'm sure he could tell a story or two for each one. Thanks Uncle Al and Aunt Corrine.

Other things I'm currently working on:
The family album is a collection of old photos gathered from various family members over the years. The photo above is just such a photo. I will scan some photos in here real soon and share them with everyone. If you wish to post yours here, please feel free sending me a copy, image over email or even the original. If you send me the original,
I promise to send them back to you upon request. Maybe Dawn can help me out here.

My Mom Julia Seymour (Malenovsky-Palko-Babinchak)
Has been helping me out on the tree. She is locating key people
from the section of her tree and getting email address and other
family data for the book and database.
My Son Matthew Seymour
has also volunteered to help key in data into our database.
